The program called for the addition of a bedroom while retaining the openness and gallery-like space that displays the client’s eclectic collection of furniture.

Inspired by the collection, the design conceives the bedroom as a piece of furniture, its ‘Baroque’ curve enhancing the sensuous and inclusive mixture of the furnishings.

The restoration of the wood floor, window casing and exterior wood wall base retains the more permanent character of the original. Up-lighting above the new bedroom enhances spatial quality.
