City of Pittsburgh Historic Preservation Award
The lower portion of the 19th century Victorian building had been partially altered and replaced with a brick and glass façade. Following URA guidelines for historical façade restoration and guided by the still intact transom area of the original storefront, the design carries the same details to the lower portion of the facade.
Other work includes brick cleaning and re-pointing, repair of window frames, new window sashes, renovation of the end blocks at both lower and upper fascias, the restoration of the original door and transom leading to the upper floor apartments, and painting.
